  • Do I get to keep the sign?
    Unfortunately, no, you don't get to keep it. We are a rental service. We will occassionally offer custom purchase options but those will be listed separately in our online store.
  • What areas do you service?
    Our service areas include the Illinois Quad City Area. If you have a question about whether your town is included, please contact us. Zip codes include: 61265, 61201, 61282, 61244, 61240, 61275, 61239, 61241, 61256, 61264, 61273, 61278, 61284. Orders outside the immedicate QC Metro area will also incur a minimal mileage charge. If you need a sign placed in the IOWA Quad Cities contact Sign Gypsies Iowa QC by email or phone. For Geneseo/Atkinson/Cambridge/Kewanee, Illinois contact SG Geneseo by email or phone.   • When are the signs setup?
    Each day is different and the delivery window will be clarified during the confirmation process before you pay. Generally, "day of" signs are delivered between 6-8 am on the weekends and 8-10 am during the week days. "Night before / Deluxe Greetings" are delivered after dark the night before your celebration. If your sign is a surprise we make every effort to come when it is best to keep it that way! Although we can not provide a specific time for arrival, you will recieve a reminder email with our best estimated time the day before your greeting is scheduled. We do our best to accommodate your needs and are happy to work with delivery times outside of the norm. Non-surprise signs are often setup before surprise setups. Almost any delivery time can be accommodated with sufficient notice and communication, so please let us know what your timing preference is and we will do our best to make it happen!
  • How much does it cost to rent a sign?
    Check out our pricing and rental option prices under our PRICING tab. Prices start at $60 for a mini set up, $80 for day of event and $95 for night before set up. Additional costs may be added for mileage/travel time and add on services. Cost includes all personalization to make your sign perfect for the recipient!
  • Do you take last minute orders?
    We welcome your request! If we have the availability and the inventory we will do our best to make it happen! Rush charges may apply.
  • How long will the sign stay in my yard?
    Signs are generally picked up the morning AFTER your celebration. Rental time ranges from 24-36 hours. We do offer additional days if you would like to keep the sign for an extended period of time (if we have the availability). Some signs for events and in public areas may have lessened display time, which will be clarified at the time of booking. We can not guarantee an exact delivery or pickup time, as it varies from day to day depending on location of other signs & time spent at location. The best estimated time will be confirmed with you in your reminder email.
  • Do I need to be there for set up or tear down?
    Nope! You simply place the order with us, pay your invoice, and we handle the rest! You are free to let us know your preference for yard placement, but we try to place our signs in a highly visible area, and we always text you a photo of the finished product when we leave!
  • What if it rains or we have severe weather?
    Our signs are completely waterproof and great outdoors all year round! We will even set up in the rain, as long as there is NO lightning! Being in the midwest, occassionally severe weather will prevent us from setting up entirely or leaving the setup up. In the event we have to cancel or change the timing of your greeting, you will be notified as soon as possible. We plan to set up signs all winter long, snow is no problem, yet frozen ground will be monitored. If we can not set up due to frozen ground, you would recieve a full refund. Winds of 25 mph+ cause our signs to blow over and not look nice, in the case of high winds, we will discuss your options with you.
  • Can the greetings be used indoors? Or only outside?
    We do offer indoor setups! Indoor setups are great for fundraisers, events, concerts, photo booths, etc. Visit our pricing page for information on indoor setups.
  • Can I setup or take down the sign myself?
    Unfortunately, no. Our signs must be setup by trained Sign Ninjas. This ensures you receive the best greeting possible & will be a true reflection of our brand standards. Setups must be handled in the same manner to avoid damage to the signs. Our policies describe fees incurred for moving our signs. We thank you for your understanding!
